Created by Dr. Klinghardt and Louisa Williams and developed further over time through the contributions of Daniela Deiosso, MSc,
A.R.T.® is now recognized as an international benchmark in integrative medicine.[cut]
It is an advanced diagnostic system that brings together the most cutting-edge knowledge, research, and practices from around the world, offering a coherent and innovative model for understanding health and healing processes.
Under the guidance of Daniela Deiosso, the results achieved have solidified its reach and authority,
leading A.R.T.® to engage over 5,000 students and approximately 1,000 doctors and practitioners across every continent.
The Autonomic Response Testing® Method and Principles
The Autonomic Response Testing
® (A.R.T.
®) is a holistic approach that
is based on observing the body’s reactions to specific stimuli through kinesiological muscle testing. This method allows for the detection of useful signals related to potential energy imbalances, states of stress, or factors that may interfere with the body’s proper functioning.
By interpreting the body’s individual responses, which are considered indicators of overall functional status, A.R.T.
® offers a comprehensive and integrated assessment of the individual.
In particular, it helps identify potential factors that may hinder the balance of the nervous system and overall well-being, with specific attention to the seven main factors that can disrupt the body’s equilibrium.
A.R.T.
® is therefore a complementary tool within the field of holistic disciplines, useful for supporting wellness programs, without replacing medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis or treatment in any way.

The Origins and Evolution of Autonomic Response Testing®
A.R.T.
® – Autonomic Response Testing
® –
emerged from the convergence of ancient healing knowledge and modern scientific discoveries. Insights into the connection between body, mind, and energy, already present in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, have been confirmed by Fritz-Albert Popp’s studies on the biophysics of biophotons, George Goodheart’s Applied Kinesiology, and Yoshiaki Omura’s Bi-Digital O-Ring Test. More recent research on structured water by Gerald Pollack provides a mechanical explanation of how muscle strength can reflect the state of the autonomic nervous system.
In the 1990s and 2000s, A.R.T.® took on its current form, thanks to practitioners including Louisa Williams, Dietrich Klinghardt, and Daniela Deiosso, who combined diagnostic sensitivity with scientific precision. Today, A.R.T.
® is a constantly evolving tool: it integrates practical experience, biofeedback, and advanced neuroscientific research,
enabling the identification of blockages, toxins, and stress that are invisible to conventional methods and guiding personalized wellness practices. A.R.T.
® thus serves as a bridge between ancient wisdom and scientific innovation, accessible to anyone who wishes to care for their body in a comprehensive and mindful way.
